With the recent announcement of a release date and specs for the Wii U, Nintendo has successfully put itself in the limelight again. The results are starting to pour in and many retailers in the US are already reporting that they’re sold out of the Premium Wii U bundle. IGN.com was the first to report the story so a big thanks to them.
Now whether this is due to a very high demand for the Wii U, or limited stock for the vendors, nobody really knows. But in the grand scheme of things, we should be hoping that it is the former reason at play here, as the industry as a whole would benefit greatly from competition between the Big 3 if they’re all successful. And let’s also hope that they don’t run into any major manufacturing issues as well, meaning that gamers would have to wait a while longer before getting their hands on the system.
